Benefits of LTP IRONWAX SATIN sealant
Strong satin sealant
Protection through a resistant acrylic barrier
Easy maintenance
Indoor use only (no wet areas)
Suitable and recommended for domestic and commercial spaces, LTP Ironwax Satin is an extremely easy-to-apply product, its finishing film becomes satin after drying. LTP Ironwax Satin is easy to maintain. Ironwax Satin forms a wear-resistant acrylic sealant.
Use:
Make sure that the surface to be treated is completely clean and dry at least 24 hours beforehand. Any trace of moisture remaining undried can cause the LTP Ironwax Satin product to dry opaque.
Application depending on the surface:
In the case of unpolished surfaces (natural, brushed, flamed, etc.). Using a brush or sponge, apply a thin, even layer in one direction, but without rubbing, the product must be left to dry (approx. 1 hour). Apply until a thin, even layer has been created. (On average 3 times).
In the case of matte or antique surfaces, apply using a soaked cloth, pour the contents into a separate container. Soak the fabric in the solution and squeeze it out. Fold the cloth and apply a thin, even layer to the surface without rubbing. Apply until a thin, even layer has been created (on average 3 times). Leave to dry (1 hour).
It must be taken into account not to apply too many coats because it can cause unsightly accumulations and / or reduce the effectiveness of the product. It hardens after approximately one hour but will take less than three days to fully achieve maturity and become fully waterproof. If in doubt, test on spare tiles to determine the correct application method and the optimal number of coats before general use.
Maintenance:
Clean the floor - our recommendation is to use LTP Floorshine to clean and protect treated surfaces. In areas where the waterproofing becomes worn, apply more LTP Ironwax Satin. At some point, a complete renovation of the seal is desirable. In this case, use LTP Grimex to strip the original seal before re-sealing.
Coverage: approximately 15-30 sq m per liter (one layer) depending on the porosity of the substrate.
Remember: In the case of very porous surfaces (unpolished limestone, natural sandstone, etc.) waterproof beforehand with a layer of LTP Mattstone h10 (strong water-based waterproofing)
